How does hyaluronic acid work?
Using a very fine needle, the product is injected into the skin. Once in the wrinkle, the hyaluronic acid replenishes the skin, giving it a smooth, natural appearance. Treating wrinkles with hyaluronic acid is rapid and normally uncomplicated. Results are immediately visible. There is no scarring.
Why hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid has been used for many years in ophthalmologic surgery, where it is employed to cushion the eye during the surgical procedure. The fact that it is so well tolerated by so delicate an organ led to its cosmetic applications. It does not cause allergies, so no allergy tests prior to treatment are required. It is absorbable, and does not last forever. Since hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body, it does not cause complications.

What happens after a hyaluronic acid injection?

How long do results last?
On average, the results last about nine months, though sometimes the results are visible for a year. An annual consultation is recommended in order to maximize the cumulative effects of the product. Most patients opt for a second injection within 6 to 9 months.
