Fatty transposition via the transconjunctival route
Why ?
In cases where there are both pockets of fat and noticeable rings under the eyes, treating just one of the problems and ignoring the other can only worsen the situation: if only the pockets of fat are removed without treating the ring, the appearance of the ring will be exacerbated and if the ring is filled in without treating the fat pockets, the appearance “bags under the eyes” will be increased.
How ?
Both problems are treated during the same surgery using the fat which forms the “bags under the eyes” to fill in the hollow responsible for the ring.
Technique ?
Via a transconjunctival incision in the lower eyelid, the fat pocket is mobilised, made into a homogeneous section still attached to its nutrient blood vessels and repositioned on the orbital rim in the region of the ring – the fat is not removed.
Results
Not only is the result natural, but the ring is softened and the bags under the eyes removed.
