When the lower eyelid is pulled too tight, it exposes too much of the sclera, the white of the eye, creating a "surgical" look.
Protuberant eye revision often combines several surgical techniques, including a sub-palpebral lift that attaches the muscle to the periosteum, as well as canthoplasty, pentagonal eyelid resectioning and lipostructuring of the eye area.
